Building Maintenance Management is proud to announce a new service we will be offering for our clients in the Twin Cities metro. We are setting up an after hours emergency maintenance service to handle maintenance requests outside of normal working hours. We hope this service will help property managers and in-house maintenance technicians have more flexibility and peace of mind.
BMM has been in the property maintenance business for more than 30 years. During that time, we’ve seen some of the difficulties property managers experience with building maintenance. Many properties have their own maintenance staff who can handle most things, but if they only have one or two people, those employees have to be on call 24/7. This makes it hard on the maintenance staff and often difficult for managers to keep skilled maintenance workers.
BMM wanted to offer a solution for this problem. We have a growing staff of skilled maintenance technicians. We already offer contract maintenance services for property managers who need extra staff or help between maintenance employees. Now, we are offering an extension of this service, providing a way for our staff to be on-call at all times.
With our after hours emergency maintenance service, property managers will have a maintenance person they can rely on 24/7/365. They can still have their own in-house maintenance staff to handle ordinary tasks and any emergencies during their working hours. However, once they go home, they can relax knowing if something else comes up, our team can take care of it.
We have a call center where any after hours maintenance calls will come. We will then send a notice to all of our maintenance technicians who will be spread out over the Twin Cities area. Whoever is closest and available will respond to the call. This provides a quick response time. We will have our employees on different shifts so all hours of every day will be covered.
Our staff will also communicate with the in-house maintenance crew so they know what’s going on and can follow up with any needed repairs, etc. We are just an extension of each property’s maintenance staff.
With this service, property managers can have peace of mind knowing any issue will be taken care of right away by an experienced person. They also won’t drain their own maintenance employees. To receive this service, managers will sign up with BMM and pay a monthly rate based on the number of units at their property.
We are excited to offer this service for property managers in the Twin Cities, and we hope it will fill the void in the property maintenance industry for around-the-clock service that isn’t dependent on a few people.

We want to thank each and every one of you who has used our services this past year. We hope you will trust us for your future commercial property maintenance needs.
We wish each of you a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year!

It’s official–fall is here! Along with all of the other essential fall tasks, there are also quite a few required for your business or commercial property in preparation for the cooler months ahead. So, start your own preparations to make sure your commercial property is ready for the changing seasons and enlist the help of the experts at Building Maintenance Management. We are the experts in property maintenance for Roseville and the surrounding areas and would love to tell you more about these essential fall maintenance tasks:
This is a big one. Leaves will soon begin to fall and accumulate on sidewalks, walkways and even in the parking lot and entrances. Leaf raking and leaf blowing is essential to not only the appearance of your property but to its safety as well. At BMM we can take care of this painstaking task for you. We can even come out on a scheduled, recurring basis to make sure your property is consistently raked.
Another big threat that comes from all of those falling leaves and debris is to your gutter system. It’s important to make sure it’s clear so that water will flow freely away from your building when it rains and pours. This simple step will go a long way towards preventing roof leaks and flooding.
Leaves don’t just make a mess outside but indoors as well. During the fall, leaves, pine needles and other debris will get tracked in on shoes. So, frequent vacuuming, mopping, buffering and similar property maintenance will be essential to keep your floors shiny and leaf-free.
Avoid any surprises on the first cold day of autumn by checking your heater today. This means checking on the pilot light, oil levels if applicable and furnace filters, as well as having our HVAC expert come in for a seasonal checkup.
Lighting and Electrical
We can come in and perform a property maintenance check on your electrical system to ensure it’s prepared for the increased usage that fall can bring. Shorter and colder days mean more lighting and the possible addition of space heaters, etc.
Ready to get started preparing your commercial property for fall? Our team can help with property maintenance and management tasks of all types. And, our wide scope of services cover all ends of a typical property.

As the owner of a multi unit housing facility or other commercial property, you are always looking for new ways to increase efficiency and save money. After all, bills add up significantly and can really impact your overall budget. Did you know the clothing dryers your tenants use could be racking up your energy costs needlessly? In fact, if the exhaust vents are clogged, it could be costing you hundreds of dollars a year. Not to mention, it increases your carbon footprint, impairing your property’s overall energy efficiency and most importantly, creating a potentially disastrous fire hazard.
At Building Maintenance Management we specialize in dryer vent cleaning for Minnetonka and the surrounding areas and are here to tell you more about it and how we can help. Here are a few important points to consider:
When your dryer vents are clogged, your building’s dryers have to work overtime to dry each load of laundry. That’s why we recommend you invest in professional dryer vent cleaning once a year from a professional dryer vent cleaning service like BMM. An annual professional dryer vent cleaning by our dryer vent cleaning service is hands down the best way to keep your dryers running safely and efficiently.
Also, make sure that your dryer vents are sending the spent air outside. Your dryer vents should never terminate anywhere like in an attic or crawl space. If your building’s dryer vents terminate anywhere but outside, mold and mildew growth are likely to occur. Not sure if your dryer vents are installed correctly? Our dryer vent cleaning service can take a look at them and help set a new course for your dryer vents if needed.
Encourage tenants to thoroughly clean the lint trap after each use. This is essential to the safety and efficiency of your dryers so do your best to encourage this. But, since you can’t ensure they do so; this is what makes dryer vent cleaning for your commercial business so important.
Clean dryer vents are safer dryer vents. Accumulated debris of all sorts can build up within, presenting as your potential fuel for fire. Sparks can then occur due to static electricity, posing a major risk for igniting the lint-based mass.
